Showcasing artists and works that caught my attention.
Image 1 = Window frames decorated with incredibly vibrant yellows and pinks remind me of Peruvian folk art. But in fact, these repetitive imagery acrylics, reverse painted on the back of glass, are the work of Iran-born Iman Raad (@Iman.Raad) who has re-imagined traditional Persian painting.

Image 2-3 = Harry Rüdham (@HarryRudham) creates incredibly complex yet soothing compositions that, upon closer inspection, turn out to be hundreds and hundreds of tiny hand cut figures. If you’re of a certain age, then don’t forget your glasses, because these are works you absolutely need to see up close and in person to truly appreciate.

Portraiture is having a resurgence in the art world, but the truly groundbreaking work is taking place outside of the Western establishment. PM/AM is showcasing five Ghanaian artists that challenge the traditional notions of how a portrait should be.
Adjei Tawaiah (@AdjeiTawaiah) combines sponge and oil (Image 4) and Lord Ohene (@OheneLord) paints faces that look like a topographic map (Image 5). They’re just 2 of the exciting artists you’re sure to want to keep an eye on.

London has a ridiculous amount of quirky things to experience. My latest discovery is Burgh House — a Grade I listed Queen Anne home that was a private Hampstead residence until 1937 and is now a free museum / gallery / event space with a cracking cafe.
The current takeover by Jonny Briggs (@JonnyBriggs176) invites you to explore the grounds (Image 6) and house (Image 7) via a surrealist scavenger hunt, with over a dozen artworks hidden in unexpected places throughout.
